Flooring

Bamboo flooring comes in two distinct styles: horizontal and vertical. Horizontal flooring emphasizes the grain and nodes. The vertical style positions pieces of bamboo on their edges, lending the grain a tighter appearance.

We provide flooring in two colors: natural and carbonized. Natural colors range in tone from creamy tans to blonde, whereas the carbonized varies from light brown to caramel. Carbonized flooring's color results from heat-treating processes.

Our pre-finished flooring comes with a factory-applied Aluminum Oxide finish. It has a satin appearance and is one of the toughest finishes available today.

Unfinished flooring is available for those who would like to sand and finish in place. We are more than happy to answer your questions and to assist you with any specific needs your project might entail. Bamboo can be stained with readily available tung oil products. Any finish intended for standard flooring may also be used on bamboo, although water-based products will tend to raise the grain and require sanding between coats.

Our flooring is available in 3 and 6 foot lengths, and is 3 5/8" wide. All flooring we stock is 5/8" thick. 1/2" thick flooring may be requested on a special order basis.
